BIZAAChamomile Cleanser | Botanical Skin + Coat Comfort WashQuiet & Calm · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

BIZAA ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A luxurious chamomile-centered botanical cleanser created around a simple principle: beautiful coat care begins with respect for the skin beneath it. BIZAA brings a gentle, considered cleansing experience to grooming rituals focused on softness, suppleness, and skin comfort.

Explore BIZAA

The quiet sophistication of botanical cleansing. Gentle by intention, refined through nature.

BIZAA brings together the botanical character of chamomile with a refined approach to maintaining softness, suppleness, and skin comfort. Effective cleansing removes accumulated soil, excess surface oils, and environmental debris while respecting the protective qualities of skin and coat. It reflects the ONEDOG philosophy: individualized care guided by botanical knowledge, coat science, and thoughtful consideration for every dog.

The Science of Chamomile + Skin Comfort

Chamomile has a long history in botanical skincare, particularly in preparations associated with skin comfort and gentle conditioning. Its botanical chemistry includes flavonoids, phenolic compounds, and other constituents studied for antioxidant and skin-conditioning properties.

Botanical flavonoids

Chamomile is associated with flavonoids such as apigenin, a plant-derived compound investigated for its relationship to oxidative stress and inflammatory signaling. Oxidative stress occurs when reactive molecules exceed biological antioxidant systems’ capacity to manage them. Environmental exposure and normal cellular processes can contribute to this activity.

Bisabolol + botanical conditioning

Bisabolol is a naturally occurring compound associated with certain chamomile preparations and recognized in cosmetic science for its skin-conditioning characteristics. Chamomile’s botanical constituents underpin its longstanding association with gentle skincare.

How BIZAA Cleanses the Canine Coat

Canine hair fibers vary in diameter, density, growth patterns, and surface structure. Daily life brings environmental particles, sebum, loose skin cells, and other debris into the coat. Cleansers use surface-active ingredients to disperse oils and loosen accumulated material so it can be rinsed away. BIZAA offers a chamomile-centered cleansing experience: appropriate cleanliness while maintaining the coat’s characteristic texture and manageability. This balance matters especially when professional grooming is frequent.

Why Gentle Cleansing Matters

The canine epidermis forms a protective interface with the environment. Its outermost layer, the stratum corneum, consists of flattened cells surrounded by an organized lipid matrix that helps regulate water loss and protect against external irritants. BIZAA reflects a cleansing philosophy centered on balancing cleanliness with skin comfort and a soft, conditioned finish.

Recommended Skin + Coat Types

Fine + silky coats

Fine fibers can be susceptible to friction, tangling, and changes in texture after bathing. BIZAA suits routines where softness and manageability matter. Suggested breeds: Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Silky Terrier, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Long + flowing coats

Long coats need cleansing that reaches the skin and rinses thoroughly through the hair length. Suggested breeds: Shih Tzu, Havanese, Lhasa Apso, and Tibetan Terrier.

Soft + cotton-textured coats

Cotton-like textures can encourage friction and tangling; BIZAA can be part of a controlled washing and conditioning routine. Suggested breeds: Coton de Tulear, Bichon Frisé, and Havanese.

Curly + wavy coats

Curly coats need effective cleansing before conditioning, drying, and styling. Suggested breeds: Toy, Miniature, and Standard Poodle, and Portuguese Water Dog.

Short + smooth coats

Accessible skin makes observation during routine grooming straightforward. Suggested breeds: Boston Terrier, Boxer, Whippet, Italian Greyhound, and French Bulldog.

The ONEDOG Approach

Preparations are selected with consideration for each dog’s skin presentation, coat density, hair texture, grooming history, environmental exposure, and maintenance requirements—not breed alone. BIZAA is the chamomile-centered cleanser in the Apothecary, distinct from mineral-focused cleansers, intensive conditioning preparations, and specialized skin treatments. Sometimes the right choice is a gentler approach, selected with greater intention.

Complementary Apothecary Preparations

AWAN can complete the routine when lightweight leave-in conditioning is desired. BAGOSE or ABWAA may be incorporated for selected skin-care needs. Each preparation serves a distinct purpose in this thoughtfully layered canine-esthetics experience.

The BIZAA Experience

There is an understated elegance in gentleness. From the delicate silk of a Maltese to the abundant curls of a Poodle, BIZAA celebrates thoughtful cleansing and skin comfort. Luxury is found not in using more, but in the precision of the care itself.

ZIIBI ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

An ocean-inspired cleansing ritual for refreshed skin and a soft, manageable coat. ZIIBI pairs marine botanical character with thoughtful coat maintenance, focusing on a clean, comfortable feel without an unnecessarily stripping approach.

Explore ZIIBI

Ocean botanical skin + coat care

Inspired by the restorative qualities of the sea, ZIIBI Limu Marine Cleanser brings a sophisticated marine botanical approach to canine cleansing. Its name draws inspiration from the Anishinaabemowin word ziibi, meaning river—a reflection of flowing water, renewal, and the relationship between healthy skin and the surrounding environment. ZIIBI makes cleansing part of thoughtful skin and coat maintenance, with attention to comfort, moisture, and natural coat beauty.

The Marine Botanical Experience

Marine-derived cosmetic ingredients are valued for their contribution to conditioning, hydration, and sensory qualities. Depending on composition, marine extracts can contain polysaccharides and other compounds that support moisture retention and leave hair fibers feeling smoother. ZIIBI brings this marine-inspired philosophy into a cleansing ritual mindful of the skin surface, coat texture, and outdoor conditions.

Skin + Coat Care

ZIIBI removes ordinary surface impurities, accumulated debris, and excess residue as part of a consistent grooming routine. Its moisture-conscious approach can be complemented by appropriate conditioning after bathing. A well-cleansed, properly conditioned coat can feel smoother, separate more easily during brushing, and show its natural texture.

Recommended Coat Types

Silky and drop coats: Yorkshire Terriers, Maltese, Havanese, Shih Tzus, and similar breeds can use ZIIBI in cleansing and conditioning routines focused on softness, separation, and flowing coat texture.

Long and feathered coats: Golden Retrievers, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and English Cocker Spaniels benefit from consistent removal of environmental debris followed by appropriate conditioning.

Double coats: Australian Shepherds, Shetland Sheepdogs, Border Collies, and other double-coated breeds need thorough cleansing, complete rinsing, drying, and undercoat maintenance.

Short and smooth coats: Boxers, Boston Terriers, Vizslas, and similar breeds can include ZIIBI in regular skin and coat hygiene.

The ONEDOG Coastal Care Ritual

01 — Cleanse: Wet the coat with comfortably warm water, apply ZIIBI according to the product directions, distribute gently, and rinse completely.

02 — Restore softness: Follow with NOOKAA Nutra Peptide Conditioner when additional conditioning is appropriate, particularly for long, feathered, or frequently brushed coats.

03 — Finish: Use AWAN Leave-In Conditioning Mist according to its directions before gentle brushing and finishing when additional manageability is desired.

04 — Maintain: Set a brushing and bathing schedule around the dog’s coat type, skin condition, lifestyle, and individual tolerance.

Dogs enjoying beach outings and outdoor adventures; long-coated breeds needing consistent cleansing and conditioning; regular grooming routines focused on softness and manageability; and owners seeking a marine botanical preparation within a specialized canine skincare collection.

The ZIIBI Experience

At ONEDOG Wellness, grooming means understanding the individual animal, respecting the biological structure of skin and coat, and selecting preparations with intention. BIINADPurifying Cleanser | Botanical Skin + Coat Clarifying Wash

BIINAD ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A focused botanical cleanser for dogs whose coats need additional attention to accumulated oils, environmental residue, and daily exposure. BIINAD offers liquid cleansing through surfactant action, with a clarifying focus and a fresh, naturally manageable finish.

Explore BIINAD

The art of purification. A fresh beginning for the skin and coat.

BIINAD is a specialized botanical cleansing preparation centered on surface purification, balanced oil removal, and a beautifully clean, naturally manageable coat. It is intended for grooming routines requiring additional attention to accumulated oils, environmental residue, and daily exposure. Sebum, airborne particles, dust, pollen, pollutants, and residual grooming products can collect along the hair shaft and at the skin surface. BIINAD is a clarifying liquid wash, distinct from an abrasive scrub or mineral mud treatment.

The Science of Clarifying Cleansing

Cleansing involves interactions among water, oils, surfactants, and material deposited on skin and hair. Water alone does not efficiently remove many oily substances. Surfactants have hydrophilic regions that interact with water and lipophilic regions that interact with oils. At suitable concentrations, some surfactants form micelles that incorporate oily material, disperse it into wash water, and help carry it away during rinsing.

Sebum + surface residue

Sebum, produced by glands associated with hair follicles, contributes to lubrication and coat condition. When it combines with environmental particles or product residue, the coat can feel heavy, waxy, or excessively oily. Clarifying cleansing aims to remove accumulated surface material—not eliminate all sebum—so the hair’s natural texture can show through.

The importance of thorough rinsing

Rinsing removes dispersed oils, loosened debris, and cleansing ingredients. This matters especially in dense, curly, and double coats, where incomplete rinsing can leave residue near the skin. A clarifying bath combines suitable product selection with controlled cleansing and complete rinsing.

Clarifying + Canine Coat Structure

Canine hair fibers vary in diameter, density, length, and growth characteristics. Cuticle cells on the hair shaft influence friction, reflectance, and how fibers interact. Excess surface oils and product residues can affect how the hair separates and moves: fine coats may feel weighed down, curls may lose separation or styling responsiveness, and dense coats may retain environmental debris. BIINAD establishes a clean foundation before conditioning and styling.

Fine coats + product accumulation

A carefully selected clarifying wash can help prepare fine hair for lightweight conditioning and finishing.

Curly coats + styling preparation

Removing excessive residue can provide a clean foundation before conditioning, drying, and styling curly or continuously growing coats.

Dense coats + environmental debris

Clarifying cleansing can help remove accumulated environmental material from dense coats and undercoats.

The Skin Barrier + Balanced Purification

The stratum corneum consists of flattened cells within an organized lipid matrix that helps regulate water loss and protect against environmental exposure. Cleansing interacts with this protective surface. BIINAD is selected according to the individual dog’s skin and coat condition rather than used automatically at every appointment. Purification is not stripping: the aim is appropriate cleanliness while respecting the skin’s protective function.

Recommended Skin + Coat Types

Short + smooth coats

Consider when surface oils and environmental debris affect coat feel. Suggested breeds: Labrador Retriever, Boxer, Doberman Pinscher, Boston Terrier, and Dalmatian.

Fine + silky coats

Clarifying can prepare fine hair for lightweight conditioning when oils or residue weigh it down. Suggested breeds: Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Silky Terrier, and Papillon.

Curly + wool-textured coats

Use as part of selected bathing appointments when accumulation affects the desired finish before conditioning, drying, and styling. Suggested breeds: Standard and Miniature Poodle, Bichon Frisé, and Lagotto Romagnolo.

Dense + double coats

A clarifying wash may suit coats retaining environmental particles or surface residue through the undercoat. Suggested breeds: Golden Retriever, German Shepherd Dog, Australian Shepherd, Siberian Husky, and Samoyed.

Coarse + wire coats

A carefully selected clarifying preparation can support a clean finish while preserving the coat’s distinctive texture. Suggested breeds: Miniature and Standard Schnauzer, Border Terrier, and Wire Fox Terrier.

Coastal Living + Environmental Exposure

Along the Gulf Coast, saltwater, sand, humidity, outdoor debris, and transferred sunscreen can contribute to coat buildup. Saltwater evaporation may leave mineral residue on hair; sand can lodge in dense undercoats or textured hair; humidity can affect drying time. BIINAD offers focused clarification when outdoor activity leaves a coat feeling weighed down, oily, or coated with residue. Effective cleansing, complete rinsing, appropriate conditioning, and thorough drying restore a fresh, manageable finish.

The ONEDOG Approach

Purification is chosen according to coat structure, grooming frequency, surface condition, and environmental exposure—not as an effort to remove every natural oil. BIINAD’s role is distinct from BIZAA Chamomile Cleanser, NIBI Mineral Shampoo, ZIIBI Limu Marine Cleanser, and AKI Earth & Sea Mineral Mud. Each offers a different approach to professional skin and coat care.

Complementary Apothecary Preparations

NOOKAA — Nutra Peptide Conditioner: For softness and manageability, especially on long, curly, and textured coats.

ANANG — Total Repair Hair Masque: Intensive cosmetic conditioning for coats needing additional care after clarification.

AWAN — Leave-In Conditioning Mist: Lightweight finishing care that does not unnecessarily weigh down the coat.

ABWAA — 4D+ Hyaluronic Serum: Lightweight moisture support in selected skin-conditioning routines.

AMIK — Ceramide+ BioShield Crème: Lipid-rich conditioning for selected dry skin areas.

The Botanical Purification Ritual

Begin with an assessment of skin, coat density, grooming history, and surface residue. Select BIINAD when focused clarification is appropriate. Distribute through the coat to loosen excess oils and debris, then rinse thoroughly. Choose NOOKAA for added softness or ANANG for richer conditioning; AWAN can finish the routine when a lightweight leave-in is desired. The result is a refreshed, manageable coat through purposeful cleansing.

The BIINAD Experience

Purification is not about removing everything. It is about understanding what belongs on the skin and coat, what has accumulated through daily life, and how to restore an appropriate balance. BIINAD creates a clean foundation for thoughtful conditioning, professional grooming, and the natural beauty of the canine coat.

BIINAD — Purifying Cleanser
Clarity begins with intention. Beautiful coat care begins with balance.

NISHIN ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A botanical cleansing experience inspired by the chemistry of borage and the relationship between canine skin and coat. NISHIN combines the airy elegance of a lightweight foam with thoughtful routine cleansing and gentle handling.

Explore Borage Leaf Cleanser

Botanical skin + coat care

A botanical cleansing experience inspired by the remarkable chemistry of borage and the delicate relationship between canine skin and coat. Borage Leaf Foaming Cleanser brings Borago officinalis into a refined grooming ritual, combining an airy foam with a skin-conscious approach to routine cleansing. It reflects ONEDOG Wellness’s focus on the skin beneath the coat while maintaining the hair’s softness and natural character.

The Botanical Science of Borage

Research into extracts from borage’s aerial parts has identified phenolic compounds including rosmarinic acid, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, and flavonoids. These have attracted interest for antioxidant-associated activity and interactions with skin cells. Their relevance in a cosmetic preparation depends on the extract, concentration, and complete formulation.

Phenolic acids

Rosmarinic acid, chlorogenic acid, and caffeic acid have been investigated for antioxidant activity. Laboratory research suggests borage herb extracts can influence oxidative-stress markers in cultured skin cells.

Flavonoids

Borage herb has been found to contain compounds including astragalin, rutin-related constituents, and kaempferol derivatives, contributing to its complex phytochemical profile and ongoing cosmetic research interest.

Botanical skin conditioning

Borage extracts have been investigated for potential skin-conditioning and protective properties. Activity depends on the specific extract, its concentration, and the finished formulation.

A Lightweight Foaming Experience

The aerated presentation allows cleanser to be distributed through selected areas without the heaviness of richer preparations. It is particularly suited to focused cleansing where precision and gentle handling are priorities.

Skin + Coat Applications

Borage Leaf Foaming Cleanser supports routine removal of everyday surface impurities and debris. It can be incorporated into moisture-conscious routines for dry-feeling coats, followed by suitable conditioning. Controlled foam application can suit delicate grooming areas when used according to approved directions, avoiding eyes, ears, and mucous membranes. Frequency is selected according to the dog’s skin tolerance. It can also prepare the coat for conditioning, controlled drying, brushing, and finishing.

BIMIDEGelée Oil Cleanser | Botanical Lipid Cleansing TreatmentOil, Grease, Fat · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

BIMIDE gelée oil cleanser campaign image with the product jar and a dog with a wet coat

A luxurious gelée oil cleanser for coats that need targeted attention to oily buildup and lipid-soluble residue. Hemp, sunflower, and jojoba seed oils give BIMIDE its botanical lipid-cleansing identity, while its oil-to-milk transformation makes it a considered first step before shampoo. Choose BIMIDE for a controlled, emollient cleanse when a soft, conditioned finish matters.

Ask about BIMIDE
Explore the cleansing ritual

The elegance of oil. The purity of water. A sophisticated approach to cleansing the skin beneath the coat.

BIMIDE brings an oil-based cleansing approach to the ONEDOG Botanical Apothecary. Its gelée-inspired texture offers controlled application, while botanical emollients interact with oily surface material and help prepare the coat for cleansing. It is a distinctive option when removing buildup and achieving a soft, conditioned finish are both priorities.

Why choose an oil cleanser?

Sebum and many cosmetic residues contain lipid-soluble components. Oil-based ingredients can interact with these deposits and help loosen them from the skin and hair surface. Because oil and water do not readily mix, emulsifiers and surfactants help disperse the oil and residues into rinse water. The finished formula’s emulsifying system and application determine rinsability.

Gelée texture + coat feel

The gelée format offers a richer, more controlled sensory experience than a thin liquid oil. Emollient ingredients can contribute to a soft skin and coat feel, while appropriate cleansing helps address oily residue and surface friction. The goal is balance: neither excessive oil buildup nor unnecessary removal of the skin and coat’s natural surface lipids.

Who may choose BIMIDE?

Consider BIMIDE when oily or lipid-soluble buildup needs attention and an emollient cleansing approach suits the dog’s coat. It can be used in routines for long, silky, flowing, curly, short, smooth, hairless, or sparsely coated dogs, with individual selection based on coat and skin presentation. Suggested breeds include Maltese, Shih Tzu, Havanese, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Cocker Spaniel, Afghan Hound, Irish Setter, Poodle, Portuguese Water Dog, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Whippet, Italian Greyhound, Doberman Pinscher, Chinese Crested, Xoloitzcuintli, and American Hairless Terrier.

A considered cleansing ritual

Assess the dog’s skin, coat texture, surface oils, and grooming history. Apply BIMIDE to selected areas, distribute gently, introduce water to emulsify, and rinse thoroughly. Follow with a suitable shampoo. NOOKAA can add softness and manageability; ANANG offers a richer conditioning step, and AWAN provides lightweight finishing care. ABWAA and AMIK complement the lipid-focused cleanse in selected skin-conditioning routines.

How BIMIDE fits the Apothecary

BIZAA centers chamomile cleansing and skin comfort; ZIIBI brings marine botanical conditioning; NIBI offers mineral-inspired cleansing; BIINAD focuses on clarifying surface buildup; and NISHIN features airy foam application. BIMIDE is the collection’s gelée oil cleanser, bringing lipid-affinity cleansing and emollient conditioning to the routine.

ONEDOG Wellness recognizes that skin and coat form a complex biological system. Product compatibility, thorough rinsing, and the conditioning steps that follow all contribute to the finished result.

Featured Ingredients + Cosmetic Significance

Dead Sea salts — the mineral element

Dead Sea salts contribute to GICHI-GAMI’s mineral-inspired character and sensory identity. Mineral salts are formulation ingredients; their effects depend on concentration, the complete formula, and the individual dog’s tolerance.

Algae — marine botanical complexity

Algae encompass diverse organisms containing polysaccharides, pigments, and other compounds studied for cosmetic conditioning, moisturizing, and antioxidant-associated properties. Their composition and cosmetic role vary by extract; laboratory findings do not by themselves establish clinical benefits in dogs.

Sea kelp — ocean-derived botanical care

Kelp contains distinctive polysaccharides and other naturally occurring constituents. Depending on the extract and formulation, kelp-derived ingredients can contribute to sensory and conditioning characteristics in a moisture-conscious cleansing ritual.

Botanical extracts + aromatic blend

The botanical components contribute to the character of the preparation. The aromatic botanical blend completes the sensory experience; it is not presented as aromatherapy or a therapeutic treatment.

Skin + Coat Applications

GICHI-GAMI is a foundational cleanser for routine dirt, environmental debris, and accumulated surface impurities. NIBIMineral ShampooWater · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

NIBI ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A mineral-inspired cleansing ritual developed around the essential relationship between water, canine skin, and coat. NIBI offers a versatile foundation for regular grooming, with a focus on cleanliness, coat manageability, and respect for each dog’s natural characteristics.

Explore NIBI

Water · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

The essence of water. The refinement of botanical cleansing.

NIBI, the Anishinaabemowin word for water, represents a fundamental principle of the ONEDOG Wellness Botanical Apothecary: exceptional grooming begins with understanding the skin and coat, not simply washing hair. Water carries cleansing ingredients across skin and coat, helps release accumulated debris, and prepares hair fibers for conditioning and finishing. NIBI celebrates this essential element through a refined, mineral-inspired shampoo for regular canine grooming.

The Science of Thoughtful Cleansing

Canine skin differs from human skin in epidermal structure, surface characteristics, and grooming requirements. The stratum corneum helps regulate water loss and provides a protective interface with the environment. Surface lipids contribute to this function, while the coat offers additional physical protection. Cleansing removes dirt, environmental residue, excess oils, and grooming buildup; performance is not measured by aggressive oil removal or foam volume alone. NIBI emphasizes routine cleansing, thorough rinsing, and individualized conditioning.

The Mineral-Inspired Cleansing Experience

Water — the essential element: Thorough saturation helps shampoo distribute through the coat and assists removal of loosened impurities, particularly in dense coats.

Mineral-inspired formulation: Minerals are used in many cosmetic preparations. In shampoo, a mineral’s function depends on its identity, concentration, and interaction with the complete formula. NIBI celebrates water and natural elements without assuming mineral absorption or therapeutic effects.

Balanced cleansing: Shampoo performance depends on its complete cleansing system, including surfactants, conditioning ingredients, viscosity modifiers, and other components. NIBI is a routine cleanser for a considered grooming experience.

Preparation for conditioning: A thoroughly cleansed coat provides a foundation for conditioning, detangling, brushing, and finishing.

Skin + Coat Applications

NIBI can be used for routine maintenance, smooth and short coats, fine and silky coats, medium-length coats, selected double coats, and active outdoor dogs. Product choice and bathing frequency should reflect coat structure, skin tolerance, lifestyle, and grooming needs.

Recommended Coat Types

Smooth and short coats: Boston Terriers and similar coats benefit from foundational hygiene and attention to skin condition.

Dense short coats: Beagles benefit from removal of everyday debris while maintaining natural coat texture.

Silky and feathered coats: Cavalier King Charles Spaniels benefit from cleansing followed by conditioning and gentle brushing.

Double coats: Labrador Retrievers require thorough saturation, complete rinsing, and appropriate drying.

Mixed-breed companions: Choose according to coat structure rather than breed label alone.

The NIBI Cleansing Ritual

01 — Prepare: Assess skin and coat; identify tangles, compacted undercoat, and areas needing additional attention.

02 — Saturate: Wet thoroughly with comfortably warm water, reaching through the hair to the skin.

03 — Cleanse: Apply NIBI according to product directions and distribute with controlled, gentle movements.

04 — Rinse: Remove shampoo completely, paying attention to dense coats and areas where residue can accumulate.

AKIEarth & Sea Mineral Mud | Botanical Skin + Coat Purifying TreatmentEarth, Land · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

AKI ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

An earth-inspired mineral mud treatment bringing terrestrial minerals and marine elements into specialized canine esthetics. Mineral clays and muds can differ in composition, particle size, surface charge, porosity, and interaction with water and oils. Some mineral surfaces may adsorb oils or debris; this is a surface interaction, not absorption into deeper tissues, and its extent depends on the minerals, concentration, and finished formula. AKI is intended as a selected cosmetic surface-purifying and conditioning step when buildup or an oily-feeling coat warrants it—not as an abrasive exfoliant or a treatment for skin disease. Sebum is part of the skin and coat’s natural surface environment, so the goal is balanced care, not stripping away all oils. The exact mineral and marine ingredients must be confirmed from the manufacturer’s formulation; no specific mineral composition or therapeutic effect is assumed here.

Featured ingredients / formulation
Earth & Sea mineral mud preparation; exact mineral and marine components, concentrations, and full ingredient declaration should be verified against the final formulation
Best coat types
Short and smooth; dense and double; curly and wool-textured; coarse and wire; hairless or sparsely coated coats, only when suitable for the individual and the preparation can be fully removed
Breed suggestions
Boston Terrier, Boxer, Doberman Pinscher, Labrador Retriever, Dalmatian, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd Dog, Australian Shepherd, Siberian Husky, Poodle, Portuguese Water Dog, Lagotto Romagnolo, Schnauzer, Border Terrier, Chinese Crested, and Xoloitzcuintli. Examples are for individual assessment, not breed-specific efficacy claims.
How to use
Begin with a professional assessment of skin condition, coat structure, and surface buildup. Apply only as directed for the final product and avoid broken, irritated, or compromised skin. Do not scrub or abrade. Remove the preparation completely, cleanse and rinse as appropriate, condition for the coat, and dry thoroughly. Use additional care on hairless or sparsely coated dogs.
Pairs with
NIBI Mineral Shampoo or ZIIBI Limu Marine Cleanser when a compatible cleansing step is appropriate; NOOKAA Nutra Peptide Conditioner for coat conditioning; ABWAA 4D+ Hyaluronic Serum or AMIK Ceramide+ BioShield Crème only for selected intact-skin conditioning

GIZIIBIIGShea + Marine Conditioning Cleanser | Botanical Lipid-Rich Skin + Coat Gel

GIZIIBIIG ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A luxurious shea-based conditioning cleanser with marine-inspired ingredients, created for routines where effective cleansing and a soft, manageable finish go hand in hand. GIZIIBIIG brings emollient care to the cleansing step for coats that benefit from attention to surface friction, dryness, and texture.

Explore GIZIIBIIG

The richness of shea. The influence of the sea. A more sophisticated expression of botanical cleansing.

GIZIIBIIG is a botanical conditioning cleanser bringing together shea-derived emollient character and marine-inspired skincare. Its gel format combines easy distribution with a conditioning approach that keeps skin and hair condition central to bathing. It suits routines where cleansing, softness, lubrication, and a beautifully conditioned finish are all priorities.

The Science of Shea + Botanical Lipids

Shea butter comes from the kernels of the shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa) and consists primarily of triglycerides containing stearic and oleic acids, alongside smaller quantities of other lipid constituents. Oleic-acid-containing triglycerides contribute to lubrication and a soft, conditioned feel. Stearic-acid-containing materials influence texture and viscosity. Shea’s unsaponifiable fraction may include triterpenes, phytosterols, and tocopherols; proportions vary with source and processing.

Marine-Inspired Conditioning + Moisture

Marine botanicals offer diverse polysaccharides, minerals, and other constituents. Some algae-derived polysaccharides interact with water and contribute hydrated films; other marine ingredients can influence texture and surface conditioning. Hydration relates to water in the outer skin layers, while emollients lubricate and smooth skin and hair. GIZIIBIIG brings these ideas together in a conditioning-focused cleansing preparation.

How GIZIIBIIG Works During Cleansing

Surfactants help disperse surface oils and debris into wash water. In a conditioning cleanser, this cleansing system works alongside ingredients that influence skin and hair feel. Shea-derived emollients contribute a soft, lubricated finish; conditioning ingredients can influence friction among hair fibers. Thorough rinsing removes loosened material and prepares the coat for subsequent conditioning.

Recommended Coats + Ritual

Consider GIZIIBIIG for long and silky, curly and wool-textured, feathered and flowing, selected double, or short smooth coats where conditioning during cleansing suits the grooming goal. Suggested breeds include Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, Shih Tzu, Havanese, Lhasa Apso, Poodle, Bichon Frisé, Portuguese Water Dog, Lagotto Romagnolo, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, English Cocker Spaniel, Irish Setter, English Setter, Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, Shetland Sheepdog, Samoyed, Boxer, Boston Terrier, Doberman Pinscher, and Whippet.

Assess the dog’s skin, coat, grooming history, and environment. Distribute GIZIIBIIG through the coat with gentle massage and rinse thoroughly. NOOKAA may follow as the primary conditioner; ANANG provides a richer masque option, and AWAN offers lightweight finishing care.

The GIZIIBIIG Experience

Shea-derived lipids bring emollient richness; marine-inspired conditioning adds a relationship with moisture and surface feel. GIZIIBIIG brings these concepts into a considered gel cleanser for coats from flowing silk to sculpted curls.

OSHKAYAAShea Renewal Body Polish | Botanical Skin + Coat Refining Treatment

OSHKAYAA ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A shea-based botanical polishing treatment focused on controlled surface refinement and emollient conditioning. OSHKAYAA brings a considered renewal ritual to appropriate skin and coat applications, with softness and surface care as central priorities.

Explore OSHKAYAA

Renewal through refinement. Botanical conditioning inspired by the natural richness of shea.

OSHKAYAA is a botanical polishing treatment centered on surface texture, cosmetic refinement, and the emollient qualities of shea-derived ingredients. It offers a specialized approach distinct from shampoo, moisturizer, and mineral mud, emphasizing controlled surface conditioning and softness.

Shea-Based Surface Conditioning

Shea-derived materials contain triglycerides rich in stearic and oleic fatty acids. These contribute to emollient conditioning, texture, and surface lubrication. In a polishing preparation, lipid-rich ingredients can complement surface-refining components and contribute to a soft, conditioned feel.

Understanding Cosmetic Polishing

Polishing can refer to physical removal of surface material or nonabrasive conditioning that improves skin feel. The mechanism depends on the preparation. The canine epidermis is a protective structure; OSHKAYAA is positioned as a carefully controlled refining treatment, not an aggressive scrub. Minimal friction and thoughtful application are central to the ritual.

The Epidermis + Surface Renewal

The epidermis continually renews itself. As cells mature toward the surface, they become part of the protective stratum corneum and are eventually shed through desquamation. This normal process helps maintain the outer epidermis. Cosmetic surface refinement should respect that protective layer; excessive friction can disrupt its integrity. Shea-derived emollients add a conditioning dimension to the polishing experience.

Recommended Skin + Coat Applications

Selected short and smooth coats, coarse and wire coats, hairless and sparsely coated skin, curly and wool-textured coats, and dense or double coats may be considered according to application access and complete removal. Suggested breeds include Boxer, Boston Terrier, Labrador Retriever, Doberman Pinscher, Dalmatian, Schnauzer, Border Terrier, Wire Fox Terrier, Chinese Crested, Xoloitzcuintli, American Hairless Terrier, Poodle, Bichon Frisé, Portuguese Water Dog, Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, and German Shepherd Dog.

Shea Renewal Ritual

Assess the dog’s skin, coat texture, and grooming history. GIZIIBIIG can provide a conditioning cleanse where appropriate. Apply OSHKAYAA to selected areas with minimal friction, then remove thoroughly according to its directions. ABWAA or GIIZIS may follow for hydration or moisturizing care; NOOKAA can provide coat conditioning.

OSHKAYAA + BINGWI

BINGWI is a sea-salt preparation centered on mineral texture and controlled coat-surface refinement. OSHKAYAA is the shea-based polish, emphasizing botanical emollient conditioning alongside surface refinement. Their distinct identities guide selection according to the intended cosmetic finish.

The OSHKAYAA Experience

Renewal is not about removing more than skin can comfortably tolerate. OSHKAYAA celebrates the balance between surface refinement and botanical conditioning, from the sleek coat of a Boxer to the distinctive texture of a Schnauzer.

GIIZIS ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A marine-inspired moisturizing crème for skin routines focused on hydration, botanical conditioning, and a supple, comfortable surface. GIIZIS offers a richer conditioning experience than a lightweight serum, bringing moisture-focused care to selected grooming rituals.

Explore GIIZIS

The restorative character of the sea. The science of hydration. The beauty of skin maintained with intention.

GIIZIS is a marine-inspired moisturizing preparation centered on hydration, botanical conditioning, and the protective functions of the canine epidermis. Skin balances moisture availability with the need to protect itself from environmental exposure. GIIZIS offers a richer moisturizing experience than a lightweight serum, combining hydration and emollient conditioning in a preparation intended for individualized skin care.

The Science of Marine Hydration

Many algae produce polysaccharides—complex carbohydrate molecules that can bind water, influence viscosity, and form hydrated structures. In skincare formulations, certain marine polysaccharides may contribute to surface hydration, film formation, and a smoother sensory finish. Humectants associate with water and support a hydrated feel; emollients lubricate and smooth the skin’s outer surface. Their effects depend on the formula, concentration, environment, and skin condition.

Moisture Balance in Canine Skin

The stratum corneum contains flattened cells surrounded by intercellular lipids that help maintain moisture balance and regulate transepidermal water loss (TEWL), the passive movement of water through skin into the atmosphere. GIIZIS is a cosmetic moisturizing preparation within an individualized skin-care routine.

Choosing the Right Hydration Texture

ABWAA — 4D+ Hyaluronic Serum emphasizes water-binding hydration in a lightweight serum. GIIZIS — Restorative Marine Moisturizer offers a richer moisturizing experience and conditioned finish. AMIK — Ceramide+ BioShield Crème focuses on lipid-rich conditioning inspired by the skin barrier. Each offers a distinct texture and conditioning approach.

Skin + Coat Applications

GIIZIS may suit hairless and sparsely coated dogs such as Chinese Crested, Xoloitzcuintli, and American Hairless Terrier; short-coated dogs such as Whippet, Italian Greyhound, Boxer, Boston Terrier, and Doberman Pinscher; and targeted skin care beneath fine coats such as Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, and Havanese. For curly or dense coats, use targeted placement to avoid unnecessary residue on the hair.

Coastal Living + the Marine Hydration Ritual

Saltwater, sand, wind, humidity, and outdoor activity shape coastal grooming routines. Following appropriate cleansing, rinsing, and drying, GIIZIS can add a marine-inspired moisturizing step to selected areas of intact skin. ZIIBI may complement the ritual as a marine botanical cleanser; ABWAA may precede GIIZIS when lightweight hydration is desired. BAGOSE and AMIK offer other specialized conditioning choices.

The GIIZIS Experience

Inspired by the ocean and centered on hydration, GIIZIS brings a considered moisturizing experience to skin care—from exposed skin to sleek short coats. Its place in the Apothecary reflects the difference between lightweight hydration, surface softness, and lipid-focused conditioning.

MINOIntensive Rescue Crème | Advanced Botanical Emollient Skin ConditioningGood, Well · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

MINO ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A concentrated botanical conditioning crème for selected areas where a richer, more emollient finish is desired. MINO is designed around softness, surface comfort, and targeted care for dry-feeling or rough-textured intact skin.

Explore MINO

For skin that calls for more. A richer expression of botanical care.

MINO is an intensive botanical conditioning crème for selected intact skin where additional softness, improved surface feel, and richer moisturizing care are desired. Its concentrated crème format offers a more substantial conditioning experience than a lightweight hydration serum.

The Science of Intensive Emollient Care

Moisturizers combine ingredients with different functions. Emollients soften and smooth the outer skin surface, improving its feel. Occlusive ingredients form a film that can help reduce water evaporation; the degree depends on the formula. Humectants associate with water and support hydration in the outer skin layers. The balance of these ingredients determines the finished texture and conditioning character.

Targeted Conditioning

Not all skin requires the same level of care. Some dogs suit lightweight preparations; others may have localized roughness or dryness where a richer cosmetic approach is preferred. MINO’s crème texture lends itself to precise application, surface softness, and a more substantial conditioned finish.

Skin + Coat Applications

Consider MINO for selected areas of intact skin on hairless dogs such as Chinese Crested, Xoloitzcuintli, and American Hairless Terrier; short-coated dogs such as Boxer, Boston Terrier, Whippet, Italian Greyhound, and Doberman Pinscher; or targeted areas beneath long or curly coats such as Poodle, Havanese, Shih Tzu, and Bichon Frisé. Suitability depends on the skin presentation and the ability to apply without excess residue on the coat.

How MINO Fits the Apothecary

GIIZIS offers marine-inspired moisturizing care; ABWAA emphasizes lightweight water-binding hydration; AMIK centers on lipid-rich barrier conditioning; and MINO is the intensive crème for richer, localized emollient care. GIIZHIK is an oil-texture alternative for selected lipid-focused conditioning routines.

The Intensive Botanical Conditioning Ritual

Assess the dog’s skin, coat access, grooming history, and areas needing conditioning. After a suitable cleanse and complete rinse, apply MINO to selected areas of clean, intact skin. ABWAA may be incorporated when lightweight hydration is also desired; choose the final preparation according to the individual’s needs and the desired finish.

The MINO Experience

True luxury is not defined by richness alone, but by knowing when a richer preparation is appropriate. MINO reflects ONEDOG’s commitment to individualized selection and intentional botanical conditioning.

MASHKIKIMicrobiome Balancing Treatment | Botanical Skin Ecosystem ConditioningMedicine · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

MASHKIKI microbiome balancing conditioner packaging with botanical ingredients

A microbiome-conscious skin-conditioning treatment grounded in the understanding that canine skin is a living ecosystem, not a sterile surface. MASHKIKI brings attention to the relationship among skin-barrier function, resident microbial communities, grooming, and the individual skin environment.

Explore MASHKIKI

Respect the living ecosystem. Care for the skin as more than a surface.

MASHKIKI is a specialized skin-conditioning treatment centered on the relationship between the skin barrier and its resident microbial communities. Canine skin is not a sterile surface: it is a living environment inhabited by diverse microorganisms that interact with skin, immune defenses, and the surrounding environment. These communities vary between dogs and across anatomical regions.

The Science of the Canine Skin Microbiome

The skin microbiome includes bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms, together with their genetic material and ecological interactions. Skin structure, moisture, sebum, environmental exposure, grooming practices, and health all influence microbial communities. Different body regions can host different populations because moisture, temperature, hair density, and skin secretions vary.

Skin barrier + microbial environment

The epidermal barrier regulates hydration and the skin’s interaction with its surroundings. Its structure influences surface conditions experienced by resident microorganisms. Barrier changes and microbial shifts may accompany some skin conditions; these relationships are complex and continue to be studied.

Microbiome balance

Balance does not mean eliminating microorganisms or creating one fixed microbial composition. It means considering the relationship among microbial communities, the skin environment, and normal protective functions. The appropriate microbial profile can vary by individual and body region.

Prebiotics, Postbiotics + Botanical Conditioning

Prebiotics are substrates selectively used by microorganisms in ways that may benefit the host. Postbiotics are preparations of inanimate microorganisms and/or their components that confer a health benefit. Botanical ingredients may contribute moisturizing, emollient, antioxidant, or other cosmetic properties. These ingredient approaches are distinct from demonstrating that a finished product changes the skin microbiome.

Microbiome-Conscious Grooming

Bathing removes accumulated oils and debris and some microorganisms as part of normal hygiene. The goal of routine grooming is not to sterilize the skin. MASHKIKI represents a conditioning approach that respects the biological complexity of skin and complements appropriate cleansing and care.

Skin + Coat Applications

Consider individual skin presentation across short and smooth coats such as Boston Terrier, Boxer, French Bulldog, Whippet, and Dalmatian; hairless breeds such as Chinese Crested, Xoloitzcuintli, and American Hairless Terrier; curly and dense coats such as Poodle, Bichon Frisé, Portuguese Water Dog, and Lagotto Romagnolo; and double coats such as Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, German Shepherd Dog, and Siberian Husky. Selection is guided by the dog’s skin, not coat category alone.

The ONEDOG Approach

BAGOSE emphasizes temporary skin comfort, ABWAA focuses on water-binding hydration, AMIK on lipid-rich barrier conditioning, and MASHKIKI on the skin environment and its resident microbial communities. These preparations represent different perspectives within individualized skin care.

The Botanical Skin Ecosystem Ritual

Begin with an evaluation of skin, coat, grooming history, and environment. Select a suitable cleanser to remove accumulated debris, then incorporate MASHKIKI as a specialized conditioning step where appropriate. Add hydration or emollient care according to the individual dog, and complete the routine with thorough rinsing where required and appropriate drying.

The MASHKIKI Experience

Skin is more than a surface to clean. It is a living ecosystem shaped by biology, environment, and daily interactions. MASHKIKI reflects an approach to grooming that recognizes microbial communities, skin-barrier function, and individualized care.

ASINBarrier Recovery Salve | Intensive Protective Skin ConditioningStone, Rock · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

ASIN ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A concentrated botanical salve for localized skin conditioning where a substantial protective finish is desired. ASIN emphasizes surface occlusion, emollient softness, and moisture-retaining care for selected areas of intact skin.

Explore ASIN

Protection begins at the surface. Restoration begins with understanding the skin.

ASIN is a concentrated botanical skin-conditioning salve centered on protective lipids, moisture retention, and the natural architecture of the canine epidermis. Its substantial texture is intended for localized application where a protective conditioning layer is desired, rather than broad application through the coat.

The Science of Protective Barrier Conditioning

The stratum corneum limits excessive water loss and provides a physical interface with the environment. It consists of flattened, keratin-rich cells surrounded by organized intercellular lipids, including ceramides, cholesterol, and free fatty acids. Occlusive ingredients can form a water-resistant surface film that helps reduce evaporation; emollients lubricate and smooth the outer skin. Together they create a concentrated conditioning experience.

Understanding Transepidermal Water Loss

Water naturally moves through the epidermis and evaporates at the skin surface. This transepidermal water loss (TEWL) varies with barrier condition, humidity, temperature, and individual characteristics. ASIN offers a moisture-retaining conditioning option when a lighter moisturizer does not provide the desired finish.

How a Salve Differs

A crème generally combines water and oil phases in an emulsion. A salve is typically more lipid-rich and may contain little or no water, depending on the formula. GIIZIS emphasizes marine moisturizing, MINO intensive emollient care, AMIK ceramide-focused conditioning, and ASIN concentrated surface protection.

Recommended Applications

Consider targeted use on hairless and sparsely coated dogs such as Chinese Crested, Xoloitzcuintli, and American Hairless Terrier; short-coated dogs such as Boxer, Boston Terrier, Doberman Pinscher, Whippet, and Italian Greyhound; or small areas of intact skin where a concentrated emollient finish is desired. Beneath dense or curly coats, apply only to selected accessible skin areas.

The Protective Botanical Ritual

Assess the skin and environmental exposure, cleanse as appropriate, rinse completely, and dry gently. ABWAA may provide lightweight hydration; ASIN can be applied as the final concentrated conditioning step to selected areas of intact skin. AMIK offers a complementary barrier-conditioning approach.

The ASIN Experience

ASIN celebrates the relationship between skin cells, lipids, and moisture through concentrated care applied with intention. Exceptional skincare means knowing when a richer protective preparation is appropriate.

BINGWISea Salt Coat Scrub | Mineral-Inspired Surface Refining Treatment

BINGWI ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A specialized sea-salt coat treatment for selected grooming routines where a controlled mineral-inspired surface refinement is desired. BINGWI brings the crystalline character of salt into thoughtful coat care.

Explore BINGWI

The mineral character of the sea. A refined approach to surface cleansing.

BINGWI is a mineral-inspired coat treatment centered on the physical characteristics of salt crystals and selected surface-refining applications. Sea salt consists primarily of sodium chloride, with varying amounts of other mineral constituents. Crystal size and shape affect texture; salt dissolves in water, supporting removal with appropriate rinsing.

The Science of Sea Salt + Surface Refining

Mechanical exfoliation removes surface material through contact with particles or textured implements. Canine skin requires careful handling: excessive friction or abrasive material can disturb the epidermal surface. Salt crystals may create friction against hair and skin, so BINGWI is positioned for controlled coat-focused application rather than aggressive skin scrubbing. Trace minerals depend on source and processing and do not necessarily confer topical therapeutic benefits.

Coastal Mineral Ritual

Beach environments bring saltwater, sand, wind, and debris that influence coat feel. Begin with an assessment of skin and coat; select BINGWI only when a controlled mineral treatment suits the coat. Apply gently with minimal friction and rinse completely. Follow with a suitable cleanser if needed and NOOKAA or AWAN for coat conditioning. Short and smooth, coarse and wire, selected dense or double, and curly coats may be considered where the product can be completely removed. Suggested breeds include Boxer, Boston Terrier, Labrador Retriever, Dalmatian, Schnauzer, Border Terrier, Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, German Shepherd Dog, Poodle, Bichon Frisé, and Portuguese Water Dog.

MAKWANutra Peptide Shampoo | Advanced Protein-Inspired Skin + Coat CleanserBear · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

MAKWA peptide shampoo bottle with cleansing and coat-care information

A peptide-focused shampoo combining effective cleansing with protein-inspired cosmetic conditioning. MAKWA features Hexapeptide-11, niacinamide, panthenol, biotin, and botanical ingredients for a considered cleansing step in structured coat-care routines.

Explore MAKWA

The architecture of the coat begins with protein. Its beauty begins with understanding.

MAKWA is a peptide-focused cleansing preparation that brings hair structure and cosmetic conditioning into the bathing experience. Canine hair is composed primarily of keratin, a structural protein contributing to the fiber’s strength, flexibility, and physical character. MAKWA pairs cleansing with a protein-inspired conditioning philosophy.

The Science of Keratin + Hair Structure

The cuticle is the outer layer of overlapping cells that protects the hair fiber and influences surface friction. The cortex contains organized keratin structures that contribute to strength and flexibility, as well as pigment granules. Some fibers contain a central medulla. The combination and organization of these structures contribute to the diversity of canine coat textures.

Peptides in Hair Care

Peptides are amino-acid molecules connected by peptide bonds. In cosmetic hair care, certain peptides and hydrolyzed proteins are used as conditioning ingredients. Their behavior depends on molecular size, charge, chemical modification, concentration, and the surrounding formula. Some may associate with the hair surface, form temporary films, reduce friction, and contribute to softness and manageability. They condition existing fibers rather than turning nonliving hair into living tissue or permanently reconstructing keratin.

How MAKWA Cleanses + Conditions

MAKWA’s cleansing system removes accumulated oils, environmental debris, and grooming residues. Its peptide-focused identity emphasizes maintaining a manageable hair surface during and after washing. As a rinse-off preparation, conditioning deposition depends on the finished formulation. MAKWA is the foundational cleanse in the coordinated peptide-conditioning routine.

Coat Types + Ritual

Long, fine coats, curly and continuously growing coats, feathering, and selected double coats can benefit from routines attentive to friction and manageability. Suggested breeds include Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Shih Tzu, Havanese, Afghan Hound, Poodle, Bichon Frisé, Portuguese Water Dog, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, English Cocker Spaniel, Irish Setter, English Setter, Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, Shetland Sheepdog, and Samoyed. A peptide-focused conditioner designed around hair-fiber lubrication, surface smoothness, and coat manageability. NOOKAA combines Hexapeptide-11, panthenol, biotin, sea buckthorn oil, and botanical conditioning ingredients for a dedicated conditioning phase after cleansing.

Explore NOOKAA

Softness is an art. Manageability is a science.

NOOKAA is a peptide-focused conditioning preparation designed around canine hair structure and the importance of a smooth, supple, manageable coat. It is the conditioning counterpart to MAKWA: cleansing removes accumulated material, while conditioning addresses the sensory and mechanical characteristics of hair after washing.

The Science of Hair Conditioning

The hair fiber’s outer cuticle influences how strands interact. Surface wear can increase friction and contribute to tangling and reduced manageability. Conditioning ingredients may associate with the hair shaft, lubricate neighboring fibers, and create thin films that influence softness and smoothness. Hair responds to its hydration environment; conditioning also affects its surface behavior during grooming.

The Role of Peptides

Peptides are amino-acid chains with cosmetic behavior that varies by size, charge, and structure. Certain peptide ingredients may associate with the hair surface and contribute to a conditioned feel. NOOKAA’s peptide-focused identity centers on protein-inspired ingredients and maintenance of the existing coat’s appearance and manageability.

Why Condition After Cleansing?

Cleansing removes accumulated material and changes the distribution of surface oils, which can influence friction between fibers. Conditioning can support a more manageable finish. For long and curly coats, this is particularly relevant during brushing and drying. A well-chosen conditioner can help reduce grooming effort and support comfortable coat maintenance.

Coat Types + Peptide Conditioning Ritual

NOOKAA suits routines for fine and silky, long and flowing, curly and wool-textured, feathered, and selected double coats. Suggested breeds include Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Silky Terrier, Papillon, Shih Tzu, Havanese, Afghan Hound, Lhasa Apso, Poodle, Bichon Frisé, Portuguese Water Dog, Lagotto Romagnolo, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, English Cocker Spaniel, Irish Setter, English Setter, Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, Shetland Sheepdog, and Samoyed. After cleansing with MAKWA or another suitable shampoo, distribute NOOKAA through the coat, allow the conditioning interval, and rinse thoroughly. ANANG offers richer intensive care; AWAN provides lightweight leave-in finishing.

The NOOKAA Experience

A beautifully maintained coat brings together texture, movement, flexibility, and ease of care. NOOKAA offers an informed conditioning experience for coats from flowing silk to structured curls.

ANANGTotal Repair Hair Masque | Intensive Cosmetic Hair Fiber ConditioningStar · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

ANANG total repair coat mask jar with botanical ingredients and coat-conditioning details

A rich, intensive hair masque combining Hexapeptide-11, biotin, coconut oil, and argan oil for coats needing additional softness, surface smoothness, and manageability.

Explore ANANG

For coats that have experienced more. An intensive expression of conditioning care.

ANANG is a rich hair masque for coats requiring additional cosmetic conditioning. Long hair, curly coats, repeated brushing, environmental exposure, and frequent grooming influence the physical condition and feel of the hair shaft. ANANG focuses on softness, manageability, and surface smoothness through intensive conditioning.

The Science of Hair Fiber Wear

The cuticle protects the internal cortex and influences surface friction. Repeated brushing, combing, movement, and contact among fibers create mechanical friction. Sunlight, humidity, saltwater, and grooming practices can also affect hair’s physical characteristics. As the cuticle surface becomes less uniform, friction may increase and the coat can become harder to manage.

How Intensive Hair Masques Work

Hair masques offer richer conditioning than lightweight finishers. Emollients, conditioning polymers, protein-derived ingredients, and other conditioning components can lubricate the hair surface, form temporary films, improve manageability, and refine the coat’s cosmetic appearance.

Focused Conditioning

Long hair can experience cumulative mechanical wear; curly fibers interact and tangle; feathering around ears, legs, chest, and tail can experience repeated friction. ANANG provides a more intensive option when coat texture and maintenance needs call for a richer preparation.

Coat Types + Intensive Hair Ritual

Consider long and silky coats, curly and wool-textured coats, feathered coats, and selected double coats where dryness or friction affects the desired finish. Suggested breeds include Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, Shih Tzu, Havanese, Afghan Hound, Standard and Miniature Poodle, Bichon Frisé, Portuguese Water Dog, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, English Cocker Spaniel, Irish Setter, English Setter, Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, and Shetland Sheepdog. After cleansing with MAKWA or another suitable shampoo, distribute ANANG through lengths and ends, allow the treatment interval, and rinse completely. AWAN may provide lightweight finishing care.

The ANANG Experience

ANANG recognizes the grooming and environmental history carried by each coat. It offers intensive cosmetic conditioning grounded in the structure of hair and the selection of appropriate care to maintain its beauty.

AWANLeave-In Conditioning Mist | Lightweight Botanical Coat Finishing TreatmentFoggy · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

AWAN ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A lightweight leave-in mist featuring Hexapeptide-11, keratin, biotin, and niacinamide to support a soft, manageable, polished coat feel between appointments.

Explore AWAN

The final touch should feel effortless. The science behind it is anything but.

AWAN is a lightweight leave-in conditioning mist designed around hair-fiber lubrication, surface smoothness, and ongoing coat maintenance. Unlike rinse-off conditioners and intensive masques, a leave-in preparation remains on the hair after application, allowing selected conditioning ingredients to continue influencing its surface between grooming appointments.

The Science of Leave-In Conditioning

Hair fibers interact through friction, static forces, moisture changes, and movement. Conditioning ingredients can reduce friction between neighboring fibers, form thin films that contribute to smoothness, and help manage static-related flyaways. Hair also absorbs and releases moisture as humidity changes; conditioning can influence its surface feel.

Why Lightweight Conditioning?

Fine hair can be weighed down by excessive product; curly coats may need conditioning that supports manageability without disrupting styling; double coats call for careful application to avoid buildup. AWAN offers lightweight finishing care while preserving the coat’s natural character.

Conditioning + Brushing

Brushing applies mechanical force to hair. When fibers are tangled, greater force may be needed to separate them; conditioning that reduces friction can support easier grooming. AWAN is a maintenance preparation for coats already cared for with suitable grooming practices, not a substitute for professional management of severe matting or for forceful brushing.

Coat Types + Botanical Finishing Ritual

AWAN may suit fine and silky, long and flowing, curly and wavy, feathered, and selected double coats. Suggested breeds include Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Silky Terrier, Papillon, Shih Tzu, Havanese, Afghan Hound, Lhasa Apso, Poodle, Bichon Frisé, Portuguese Water Dog, Lagotto Romagnolo, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, English Cocker Spaniel, Irish Setter, English Setter, Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, Shetland Sheepdog, and Samoyed. After appropriate cleansing, conditioning, and drying, mist lightly before brushing, avoiding the face. Work through in sections with appropriate tools. After beach activities, rinse and dry appropriately before finishing.

The ONEDOG Approach

NOOKAA provides rinse-off conditioning, ANANG intensive cosmetic treatment, GIIZHIK targeted oil conditioning, and AWAN lightweight leave-in finishing. The choice depends on the desired richness and the characteristics of the individual coat.

The AWAN Experience

The movement of a silky coat, the softness of maintained curls, and ease of brushing between appointments are details that define a refined grooming experience. AWAN supports these details with lightweight finishing care.

DIBIKAloe Azulene Masque | Botanical Skin Comfort + Hydration TreatmentNight · Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe)

DIBIK ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A botanical conditioning masque bringing aloe-associated hydration and azulene-inspired botanical chemistry into a focused skin-care ritual. DIBIK is a specialized treatment—not a primary cleanser—for a soft, supple, comfortable skin feel.

Explore DIBIK

The elegance of botanical calm. The science of moisture. A more considered approach to canine skin care.

DIBIK is a botanical conditioning masque centered on aloe-derived moisture, azulene-associated botanical chemistry, and a supple skin feel. It is a specialized conditioning step, distinct from a primary cleanser or a hair masque such as ANANG.

Aloe + Skin Hydration

Aloe vera inner-leaf gel contains water, polysaccharides, and other naturally occurring constituents. Its composition varies with plant material, extraction, processing, and concentration. Aloe polysaccharides, including acetylated mannans such as acemannan, interact with water and contribute to gel properties. In cosmetic preparations, aloe-derived materials may support hydration, film formation, and a smooth skin feel. Properly processed inner-leaf aloe differs from whole-leaf material containing latex-associated anthraquinones.

Azulene + Botanical Comfort

Azulene-associated compounds are linked to the blue coloration of certain botanical essential oils. Chamazulene can form during steam distillation of some chamomile materials; its presence and concentration depend on source and processing. These ingredients appear in selected skincare formulations for their sensory and skin-conditioning characteristics. DIBIK’s focus is cosmetic hydration and comfort.

The Botanical Masque Ritual

Short and smooth coats, hairless or sparsely coated skin, and selected areas beneath fine or textured coats offer accessible application settings. After observing the dog’s skin and coat, BIZAA may cleanse, DIBIK provides the masque phase, and the treatment is removed according to its use directions. ABWAA or GIIZIS may follow when additional hydration or moisturizing is desired. Suggested breeds include Boston Terrier, Boxer, Whippet, Italian Greyhound, Dalmatian, Chinese Crested, Xoloitzcuintli, Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, Havanese, Poodle, Bichon Frisé, and Portuguese Water Dog.

Explore MIIN

The intelligence of fruit. The elegance of botanical conditioning.

MIIN brings papaya- and pumpkin-derived ingredients into a specialized masque experience focused on surface refinement, softness, and the appearance of a well-maintained coat.

The Science of Papaya

Papaya (Carica papaya) contains carbohydrates, carotenoids, and proteolytic enzymes such as papain, which can break peptide bonds in proteins. Enzyme activity depends on concentration, temperature, pH, processing, and inhibitors; not every papaya extract contains active papain. Where present at an appropriate level, proteolytic activity may influence protein-containing surface material. This is why enzyme-based cosmetic treatments are carefully controlled for canine skin. Papaya also contains carotenoids and other plant compounds studied for antioxidant activity.

The Science of Pumpkin

Pumpkin (Cucurbita species) contains carbohydrates, carotenoids including beta-carotene, and other botanical constituents. Plant polysaccharides can influence extract texture, moisture association, and surface conditioning. Pumpkin-derived ingredients contribute to a botanical profile; they do not necessarily indicate active exfoliating enzymes.

Botanical Fruit Masque Ritual

MIIN is a controlled botanical conditioning masque, not an aggressive exfoliating treatment. After assessing skin, coat, and grooming history, cleanse appropriately, apply the masque as directed, and remove completely. NOOKAA or AWAN may follow for coat conditioning. Suggested breeds include Boston Terrier, Boxer, Whippet, Dalmatian, Doberman Pinscher, Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, Havanese, Poodle, Bichon Frisé, Portuguese Water Dog, Golden Retriever, and Australian Shepherd.

BAGOSEKeep It Calm Serum | Botanical Skin Comfort Concentrate

BAGOSE botanical skin comfort serum with a dropper bottle and botanical setting

A lightweight botanical conditioning serum for selected grooming routines focused on skin comfort, hydration, and a balanced surface feel. BAGOSE offers a targeted, concentrated-feeling format without the heavier finish of a salve or rich crème.

Explore BAGOSE

Calm is not simply a sensation. It is the result of thoughtful care.

BAGOSE is a lightweight botanical skin-conditioning serum for grooming routines that call for attention to temporary surface sensitivity and skin feel. The epidermis interacts continually with environmental substances, cleansing preparations, moisture changes, and mechanical contact. A serum offers a targeted, concentrated-feeling application without the substantial surface film of a salve or rich crème.

The Science of Skin Comfort

Skin comfort reflects the epidermal barrier, surface hydration, lipid organization, sensory responses, and environmental conditions. The stratum corneum helps protect skin and regulate moisture. Botanical compounds are investigated for antioxidant and inflammation-modulating activity; their relevance in a finished cosmetic depends on the ingredients and formula. A well-selected conditioning serum can contribute to the feel of hydrated, otherwise intact skin.

The Botanical Calm Ritual

Observe the dog’s skin and coat, cleanse appropriately, and apply BAGOSE to selected areas according to product directions. ABWAA may complement the routine when lightweight hydration is desired; GIIZIS can provide richer moisturizing care. Short-coated, hairless, sparsely coated, and selected fine-haired dogs offer accessible application areas. ABWAA4D+ Hyaluronic Serum | Multi-Dimensional Skin Hydration Concentrate

ABWAA ONEDOG Wellness concept packaging mockup

A specialized humectant serum centered on four forms of hyaluronic acid and Natural Arctic Tree Extract. ABWAA brings multi-molecular-weight hydration and a lightweight, supple surface feel to individualized canine skin conditioning.

Explore ABWAA

Hydration is a science of molecular interaction. Beautiful skin begins with understanding water.

ABWAA is a multi-dimensional hydration serum centered on four forms of hyaluronic acid and Natural Arctic Tree Extract. Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan whose molecular structure can associate with water, making it valuable in cosmetic hydration.

The Science of Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid consists of repeating disaccharide units that form hydrated molecular networks and contribute to surface hydration, viscosity, and film formation. Different molecular-weight ranges behave differently in formulations. Higher-molecular-weight materials generally remain closer to the surface and can contribute to hydrated films; lower-molecular-weight forms have different physical behaviors. Actual interactions depend on molecular size, formulation, and skin condition.

Four-Dimensional Hydration

The 4D concept refers to multiple forms or molecular-weight ranges with varied solubility, surface persistence, and hydration-related behavior. These may combine surface film formation, water association, and a supple skin feel. This describes cosmetic formulation principles, not guaranteed penetration to specific depths.

The Multi-Dimensional Hydration Ritual

After gentle cleansing, apply ABWAA to clean, slightly damp skin according to product directions. GIIZIS may follow for richer moisturizing care; AMIK, GIIZHIK, or ASIN may be chosen when lipid-focused conditioning is desired. Suggested applications include accessible skin on Chinese Crested, Xoloitzcuintli, American Hairless Terrier, Boxer, Boston Terrier, Whippet, Italian Greyhound, Doberman Pinscher, Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, Havanese, Poodle, Bichon Frisé, and Portuguese Water Dog.

An advanced lipid-focused conditioning crème centered on ceramides and the protective architecture of the canine epidermis. AMIK combines three ceramides with cholesterol, squalane, phospholipids, and peptides for a rich, barrier-conscious conditioning experience.

Explore AMIK

The architecture of protection. The science of skin integrity.

AMIK is a lipid-focused conditioning crème inspired by ceramides and the organized lipid matrix surrounding cells in the stratum corneum. The skin barrier is a structured relationship among cells, lipids, and water.

The Science of Ceramides

Ceramides are lipid molecules composed of sphingoid bases linked to fatty acids. They contribute to the intercellular lipid arrangement, along with cholesterol and free fatty acids. The organization and diversity of these lipids influence the epidermis’ permeability and moisture regulation. Ceramides have a distinct role from humectants such as hyaluronic acid.

Lipid-Focused Conditioning

Topical ceramide preparations can contribute to surface lipid conditioning, emollient softness, and moisture retention. AMIK combines three ceramides with cholesterol, squalane, phospholipids, and peptides for a richer conditioning experience inspired by the skin’s lipid architecture.

The Ceramide Barrier Ritual

Assess the dog’s skin and cleanse gently. ABWAA may be selected when lightweight hydration is desired; AMIK provides the lipid-focused conditioning step. ONEDOG Wellness · Ingredient education

The Botanical Formulary.

A science-informed guide to cosmetic ingredients, formulation principles, and the questions that help us evaluate skin-and-coat products thoughtfully.

A botanical ingredient is not automatically gentle, effective, or appropriate for every dog. Its performance depends on its identity, concentration, quality, processing, compatibility with the rest of a formula, and how the finished product is used. This formulary introduces the roles ingredients may play in cosmetic preparations. It is educational, not veterinary treatment guidance, and it does not disclose proprietary manufacturing details.

Start with the finished formula

Ingredients do not act in isolation. The vehicle, pH, surfactant system, viscosity, rinse-off or leave-on format, exposure time, and application site all influence a product’s behavior. A result reported for an isolated ingredient or a clinical preparation cannot automatically be attributed to a different commercial formula containing a related ingredient. Concentration, product design, and study conditions matter.

Surfactants and cleansing

Surfactants help water interact with oils and particulate material. Their molecular structure includes regions with different affinities for water and oil, enabling soil to disperse during washing and rinsing. Different surfactant systems vary in cleansing strength, foam, mildness, and compatibility with conditioning agents. Foam volume alone does not measure cleaning quality or skin gentleness. The relevant questions include what is being cleansed, how often the product is used, how it is diluted, how thoroughly it is rinsed, and how the individual dog responds.

Emulsions, oils, and fatty acids

An emulsion combines phases that would otherwise separate, commonly water and oil, with a system that helps maintain distribution and stability. Oils and emollients can contribute slip, lubrication, and a conditioned feel to hair or skin. Fatty acids are components of many biological and cosmetic lipids, but their effects depend on the specific molecule, source, amount, formulation, and route of use. Research on dietary fatty acids should not be presented as proof that a topical oil has the same effect, and a cosmetic oil is not a substitute for veterinary assessment of skin disease.

Humectants and hydration

Humectants attract or associate with water and are used in formulations intended to support hydration. Glycerin and hyaluronic-acid materials are examples found in cosmetic science. Hydration is not identical to repairing a damaged barrier, and a humectant’s performance depends on the whole formula and conditions of use. Leave-on products may be designed differently from rinse-off cleansers; follow the specific product directions and avoid assuming that more product or more frequent use is always better.

Skin-barrier lipids and ceramides

The outer epidermis includes organized lipids that contribute to barrier function and help limit water loss. Ceramides are one lipid class studied in canine skin. Topical formulations containing ceramides or other lipids are an active research area, but study results apply to the preparations and populations actually evaluated. A product description that mentions ceramides does not by itself demonstrate clinical efficacy. Skin that is inflamed, infected, painful, or persistently itchy should be assessed by a veterinarian.

Peptides and protein-derived ingredients

Peptides are short chains of amino acids; protein-derived ingredients may also be included for cosmetic conditioning or film-forming functions. The name of an ingredient does not reveal its effect on a dog’s living skin or hair. Claims depend on the ingredient’s identity, formulation, concentration, stability, and evidence for the intended use. Cosmetic conditioning can improve the feel or manageability of the hair shaft without implying that it changes follicular growth or treats disease.

Botanical extracts and responsible interpretation

Plant extracts vary with species, plant part, harvest, extraction solvent, processing, and standardization. Two products bearing the same familiar botanical name may not contain equivalent preparations. Some botanical constituents are studied for antioxidant, sensory, or cosmetic properties; those findings do not establish safety or benefit for every topical use in dogs. Essential oils, concentrated extracts, and fragranced preparations require particular care. Avoid application near eyes, ears, mucous membranes, or compromised skin unless product directions and qualified veterinary guidance specifically support it.

Conditioning agents and the hair fiber

Conditioning ingredients can reduce friction between hair fibers, improve combability, and alter softness, gloss, or manageability. These cosmetic effects concern the existing hair shaft; they should not be confused with changing the hair follicle or treating a skin disorder. Coat type, fiber length, density, curl, and grooming history can change which conditioning approach is useful. A careful routine uses only what is needed and rinses or removes products as directed.

Reading evidence with care

Evidence can come from different levels: ingredient chemistry, laboratory models, animal studies, clinical trials, and professional guidance. Each answers different questions. A cell or reconstructed-skin study may help investigate mechanism but cannot alone establish a real-world clinical outcome. A small study may be informative while leaving uncertainty about broader use. A review can summarize a field but inherits the strengths and limitations of its included research. Look for the exact product tested, comparison group, sample size, duration, outcomes, and conflicts of interest before applying findings to a product or individual dog.

How this formulary relates to ONEDOG

The apothecary’s ingredient descriptions are intended to make product roles and care decisions more legible, not to promise treatment. Match the preparation to the dog’s coat, skin presentation, tolerance, and the task at hand. Use products according to their final labeling. If a dog develops redness, swelling, discomfort, persistent itching, or another concerning change, discontinue the cosmetic product and consult a veterinarian. The scientific literature featured in the ONEDOG Scientific Formulary offers additional research context; study findings are not direct product testing unless explicitly stated.
